A day for moms. For Mothers.
I think that today will be just like the past 158 days. Celebrating Marisa. We have had 158 Mothers Days in a row. Today will just be number 159.
Happy Mothers Day to all.

First…happy birthday Zekiah….you are a amazing little girl….beautiful, smart, and tough just like your mommy! Big birthday hug to you!! (:
Mendelt….what a great way to look at Mothers Day…by saying every day is mother’s day because everyday you celebrate Marisa….beautiful! I admire your positive strength. I know that strength is not always there…but praying that you may stand firm on that rock as God gives you everything you need to get through each day.
thoughts and prayers continue daily…..
blessings, peace and a hug! (:

That was a beautiful tribute to Marisa, Mendelt. I am so proud of your fine character.
It is a privilege and a joy to be your mother and also of your five siblings.
Going with you to see your first movie in the theatre in 1980 and then last week seeing that same one with Zion was so great, it reminded me of Psalm 128 vs 6.
It is a gift for grandparents to have so much more time to play with their grandchildren than they had with their own children. But it makes me a little nervous when you and the kids want to race me on the Highway, so lets rethink that activity.
All my love, Mem

Hi Mendelt! I love how you think and how you act. You are so genuine and authentic. You inspire me to focus on being real!
It is wonderful to witness your ongoing deep love for Marisa and the desire to celebrate her life! You truly are honouring her life and the blessing that she has been to you and so many others! I especially notice that you capitilize her name and pronouns when you are referring to her. She certainly deserves a capital! What a beautiful and wonderful woman!
Thank you for continuing to share stories, thoughts, feelings. This blog continues to give us encouragement, inspiration and always something to think about!
You are in my thoughts and prayers!
Love, Julie
P.S. Happy Belated Birthday to your dear little Zekijah! That was really interesting to read that she is already talking so much and that Marisa was able to hear her baby chatting! What a wonderful gift for Marisa!

Thank you for your heartfelt Mother’s Day wish.
I thought of you, your family and Marisa a lot on Sunday. I was celebrating Mother’s Day and I was also wishing my child a Happy Birthday, he turned 3. This year I put a lot of things in perspective because of you and your family. There are rarely fancy cards or gifts given to me on Mother’s Day and this year I didn’t feel badly about not receiving any of those things. I celebrated the fact that I was alive and well. I celebrated that I had my children, my husband and family around me. I celebrated all that I am and all that I have. I am truly blessed!
Thank you!

I hope you found great ways to celebrate birthdays and memories and make new ones too…
Mother’s Day can be celebrated so many ways, I pray your family finds a way that is honoring and happy. Even though happy probably sounds far way.

How can you be a father, and a mother, too?
It’s not too hard, once you get the hang of it. One day at a time.
There are just so many days to count, as you so rightly say.
All best wishes from London.

Hi Mendelt! Sometimes/alot of times, we can’t help but think so much of ourselves. However, you with your blog you think of others including all the moms with mother’s day. You have gone thru so much (with Marisa and your family) and yet you try your best by going on with God’s Help. I pray that God will always give you strength, encouragement as you go on thru each day with your special family.
The words from your special-lovable MOM were so beautiful and touching. The Lord has blest you richly thru this and with your family!
Keep you in our thoughts and prayers R&G
