Zion woke up this morning as a 6 year old. No more counting on only one hand. He took this picture himself. He told me this morning that I am his second best friend. I’ll take it. Happy birthday buddy.

Happy birthday, dear Zion!
I remember when your mommy was pregnant with you. We taught at the same school in Dundas. Your mommy was a very slim person and when she was pregnant with you she had the most beautiful, basketball-shaped tummy. Your mommy was always smiling but when she was pregnant with you, her smile was extra bright and wonderful.
I remember when your mommy brought you to school when you were just a tiny baby. She proudly showed you to all of us and let us hold you. You were such a handsome baby and you didn’t even cry when I held you.
And now you a six. Wow! I hope you had a wonderful birthday!
